Tikal Tour: 03:30 am, departure from Antigua or Guatemala City to the airport, the flight takes 45 minutes to arrive at the Mundo Maya airport, at 8 transfers to Tikal, tour in Tikal which is a site of cultural and natural heritage, this is a walk through archeology, architecture with the tallest pyramids in the Mayan world, astronomical temples, altars, stelae, history, jungle and monuments with Mayan writing system with hieroglyphics. At 3:45 am, depart from the hotel to go to one of the Lost Worlds to walk among the astronomical pyramids and enjoy the sunrise. This is an unforgettable experience, with a good chance of seeing some of the animals that arrive early in the jungle. Mammals, birds, parrots, toucans, agile birds, falcons, medicinal plants, ancient trees, some of the spider monkeys. Listening to the monkeys is also very enjoyable.

Then return to the hotel for breakfast. Free time at the hotel. At 3 pm, transfer to Flores Island for the night. This is a place full of nightlife, with bars facing Lake Petén Itzá.

Touring Yaxhá

This is a very special site with a beautiful walking trail, discovering each location. Walking through Temple 216 is a must, as it has the best viewpoint of the site and the lagoon surrounding it. Especially if you come for sunset, you’ll see the water changing color from orange to red, making it a great place to take photographs.

This is a site where you can discover how the Maya built structure upon structure, and larger masks made on the facades of some temples.

The Boal courtyard and the surrounding buildings are very important. Here, you can learn how the Maya practiced this very special ritual.

5:00 a.m. Depart from Antigua or Guatemala City for Salto de Chilasco, the largest waterfall in Central America. The drive takes four hours, allowing you to appreciate the mountain forest, dry forest, and tropical rainforest landscapes. At the visitor center, the hike begins with a beautiful walk to reach the waterfall and swim. After returning to the community, you’ll have time to enjoy a local meal. Then, continue to an eco-lodge along the way, such as Spit Mountain or similar.

Departure at 8:00 a.m. to the King Marcos Caves to explore and appreciate the stalactites that have formed over thousands of years. Here, you can put on your boots and thief’s helmet to explore the caves, and the refined clay… it’s the best! Get a facial for soft skin.

Afterward, visit the miniature orchid family at Orquigonia, a great place to learn about carnivorous orchids, miniature orchids, the national flower, the albino orchid, terrestrial orchids, and Jurassic ferns.

Lunch in Cobán. After lunch, depart for Lankin. Check-in at the eco-lodge takes 2 hours and 30 minutes.

At 6:00 p.m., visit to observe the bats beginning to emerge from a cave, and then return to the hotel.

Departure from Antigun or Guatemala City, you should start on Tuesday towards Lake Atitlán on the way there is a stop to visit the archaeological zone of Ixinche, it was the Mayan Cakchiquel capital of the conquerors in 1,524 until reaching the stables the first capital of Guatemala, there are small pyramids, ball game a ceremonial ritual, then we will continue towards Panajachel Lake Atitlán, where we will visit a nature reserve, butterfly farm and pleasant walks along the trails, night at the hotel in Panajachel.

Depart from Panajachel for Quetzaltenango. Along the way, we’ll stop to visit San Andrés Xecul, where you can appreciate the didactic Baroque ornamentation, colors, and statues. After visiting Salcajá, the first Catholic church was built on this site in 1524. Even so, it is very special for its Catholic Mayan ornamentation. Furthermore, a delicious fermented beverage made from local fruits is made there, a unique experience. To conclude this visit, we continue to Huehuetenango to visit an archaeological site classified as postclassic or precolonial. Overnight stay in Huehuetenango.

Departure at 6:00 a.m. from Huehuetenango to Todos Santos Cuchumatanes. Along the way, we will ascend to 3,000 meters above sea level. We will have the opportunity to observe the first part of the Earth in Central America, which emerged from the sea almost 15 million years ago. There is a good viewpoint with beautiful landscapes. Visit the market at 7:30 to begin the tour. We’ll appreciate the transformation of the town. All the streets are filled with vendors, which adds a beautiful image to the landscape. Departure at 5:00 a.m. From Antigua or Cobán, to Quiriguá, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is an archaeological site. After Quiriguá, depart for Puerto Barrios to cross the Caribbean and visit the unique community of Livingston. After lunch, at 3:00 p.m., we will depart from Río Dulce for Antigua, Guatemala, arriving in Antigua at 8:00 p.m.

Visit Tikal

On the second day, you will depart from Río Dulce to Flores or Tikal National Park for an overnight stay.

Tikal was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

The area where Tikal is located is classified as one of the tenth largest tropical rainforests in the world.

Tikal is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Guatemala and one of the most beautiful places to visit. Here you will see the pyramid, platforms, temples, and monuments carved with hieroglyphics, all built in the middle of the jungle.

At 6:00 a.m., tour to Tikal to visit Complexes Q and R, the main plaza, the pyramid, as well as the North and South Acropolis, Pyramids 3 and 4, and the lost world at Pyramid 5. After visiting Tikal, depart at 3:00 a.m. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Santa Elena Airport for your return flight to Guatemala City. You will arrive in Guatemala City at 9 p.m., where a driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel.

Coban, Rio Dulce Livingstone

This is taking 4 hour by car driving in between the Rain forest to the Caribbean in the  tropical forest, starting 1500 miters to 0 meters above the see level, the highway is full of landscapes, Maya communities, cattle farms, arriving Rio Dulce we take the boat to go to Livingston, this is navigable river it is 42 Kilometers long and some places it is 8 kilometers wide looks like the Amazons with, flora and fauna.

Quetzaltenango, to San Francisco market Huehuetenango

Today the adventure start  through an open air market which  has a big variety of products, textiles, local industry a big ball court to show different kind of animals all of them for sale or to change between the locals, it is an interesting walk to observe how still today the trade is very important into the communities, if you enjoy taking pictures this site is perfect to capture the best color and everything in the market, after there is a ritual place with 9 areas to performance different rituals, ending this visit we continue to Huehuetenango, to visit an archeological site classified as post classic or precolonial, overnight  Huehuetenango.

 Huehuetenango Todos Santos

Departure at 6 am from Huehuetenango to Todos Santos Cuchumatanes, on the way to the site we are going to go up to 3 thousand miters above sea level, we will have the opportunity to observe the first part of earth of Central America than emerged from the sea almost 15 million years ago, there is are good lookout to have a nice scenery to different places, this is the first desert in Guatemala and Central America, the weather is cold so that there is a sheep, some special plants semi endemics, the topography is unique.
